· China's car sales in January hit a record high

On February 13th, it was learned from the China Automobile Association that in January China's automobile production and sales maintained a growth momentum, and the start was good, with sales reaching a new record.
In addition, in response to the recent concern that the foreign-investment ratio of automobile production in the vehicle production sector should be further liberalized, the China Automobile Association clearly stated that it does not agree to liberalize the restrictions on foreign-invested shares in the production of complete vehicles, and believes that this is not the right time.
The data shows that in January, China's automobile production and sales were 2.0517 million and 2,156,400 respectively, up 4.4% and 6% respectively. Compared with December of last year, production fell by 4% and sales increased by 1%. January sales once again set a record high.
Among them, the monthly sales of passenger cars exceeded 1.8 million, a record high, but the market share of Chinese brand passenger cars dropped significantly. In January, the sales of Chinese brand passenger cars was 709,400 units, down 6.6% from the previous month and down 5.1% year-on-year; accounting for 38.4% of total passenger car sales, down 4.4 percentage points from the previous month and down 4.9 percentage points year-on-year.
