First, the simple and practical definition of a forklift. According to the performance of the forklift that can be used for cargo loading and unloading, it is defined as a professional van for containers or pallets. The application range is short distance. Its powerful load-bearing capability makes it competent for the handling of all kinds of large-scale warehouse goods. The general source of power is fuel or electricity. Common use sites such as warehousing, logistics centers, factories and various transportation hubs. Forklift operations are also common on the cargo operations site of some freighters or large transport aircraft.

Second, the industry's simple classification of forklifts. According to the power source of the forklift, it can be divided into three categories: electric forklifts, warehouse forklifts and fuel-type forklifts.

1. Electric forklift . Its source of power is battery-powered battery storage. Electric energy supply is stable and pollution and noise are within the environmental protection requirements. Therefore, it is often used in high-demand environments such as food and medicine storage or home environment operations. However, due to the limited battery power, it is necessary to have a sufficient backup power supply for long-term continuous operation.

2. Warehouse type forklift. Its design purpose is to handle the goods in the warehouse. Most are motor-driven. Its structural advantages can be summarized as light and flexible. And the design is short and exquisite, and it is environmentally friendly. As a result, they often play an important role in the storage of goods.

3. Fuel type forklift . According to the use of different performance can be subdivided into ordinary, heavy, side fork type and container type. In this case, only the general type is used for the introduction. The advantage of the fuel-type forklift is its strong kinetic energy. It not only has good acceleration performance, but also has a good climbing force under the gradient road load conditions. At the same time, its independent forklift has a strong operating capability. However, due to the complex structure of the vehicle body, high forklift operation skills are required. At the same time, because of the energy supply characteristics, noise and exhaust gas pollution will occur. It is most suitable for roads with complex and rugged slopes.
