SAM Electronics, an L-3 company based in Hamburg, Germany, has launched a new series of ship bridge and bridge navigation monitoring and alarm systems (BNWAS) that can be easily installed on new shipbuilding or existing ships of any ship type and size.
It is understood that the BNWAS regulations promoted by IMO will take effect in July 2012. SAM Electronics' BNWAS has been approved by classification societies such as ABS, GL, Class NK and RINA to ensure the safety of ship operations and to meet the latest IEC 62616 performance standards through continuous monitoring.
