Yuchai's shares recently started the 2014 first round of comprehensive lean improvement at the production plant, and at the same time further enhanced the intelligence of the production line, and planned to “increase production efficiency to world-class level in three years”.

Lean manufacturing is originated from the advanced production model of Toyota of Japan. It is praised as the best production organization system and method in the industry at present, and it is also an important starting point for the improvement of Yuchai's production line. Since the implementation of lean manufacturing in 2011, Yuchai's manufacturing level has been steadily improved. Among them, Yuchai’s factory, a foundry that implements lean manufacturing, has reduced inventory backlog by 870,000 yuan in one production cycle and increased its efficiency by nearly 130%. Yuchai’s factory started the “first shot” of comprehensive lean improvement in 2014. It changed the way of previous project pilots. It plans to implement lean manufacturing at the factory and lays the software foundation for the improvement of manufacturing level for other units.

In order to promote improvement, Yuchai Co., Ltd. also specially appointed Japanese experts to visit the machining and pre-production lines in the field, and proposed future plans and ideas for lean improvement and the overall layout of each production plant. Yuchai will speed up the technological transformation of the production line, earnestly do construction work such as improving the manufacturing level, improve product quality, and better serve customers.

It is reported that after the production line was fully integrated and divided at the beginning of 2014, Yuchai Co., Ltd. recently launched a comprehensive upgrade of the production line to increase the production efficiency and quality level. Yuchai also plans to introduce more advanced production line equipment and promote the improvement of manufacturing level.
