China's sewing machinery exports hit a new high

Due to insufficient supplies of parts such as upstream roughs and forgings, lack of skilled workers, and limited power supply, the international market has continued to be in short supply for many months. The long-term supply shortage leads to the second quarter and third quarter of the traditional off-season. Industry output continues to remain high. At the same time, due to the improvement in the structure of export products, the monthly export value of China's sewing machinery products in the first three quarters increased more significantly. This year, China's export of sewing machinery products showed a monthly upward trend. In particular, after the second quarter, the monthly value of exports increased. From the third quarter, exports continued to operate at a high level. In September alone, the export amount was nearly 160 million US dollars, reaching a single month in history. Driven by the recovery in major international textile and apparel production, the export of industrial sewing machines in China ushered in a large rebound after the crisis, which was a year-on-year increase of more than 50% for nine consecutive months. The growth momentum is the strongest among all types of products. As of September, China's total exports of industrial sewing machines totaled 2.15 million units, an increase of 51.08% over the same period of the previous year, and the export volume reached 5.2 billion US dollars, an increase of 96.32%. Among them, 410,000 sets of automatic sewing machines were exported, an increase of 60.98%; the export volume reached 100 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 86.32%; 620,000 units of other automatic sewing machines were exported, an increase of 81.09%; the export value reached 160 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 158.17%; The number of other non-automatic sewing machines was 1.12 million, an increase of 35.60%, and the export value reached 260 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 72.90%.

With the development of the international textile and garment industry, in recent years, domestic and foreign apparel companies have increasingly demanded the automation and intelligence of sewing equipment, in order to offset the cost pressures caused by the increase in the cost of raw materials and labor. In 2010, China's industrial sewing machine product export structure was accelerated, and the export volume of automatic products in industrial sewing machines increased from 42% last year to 48% this year.
