Model NO.: LPGX
HS Code: 90269000
GeneralLPGX Filter and Gas Eliminator (hereafter we call Filter and Gas Eliminator) is the attachment of flowmeter for liquid, which is widely used for eliminating the foreign particles (solid) and gases included in the crude oil, oil products or others liquids when fluids run through the pipeline so that the flowmeter can measure the fluids accurately.
Principle
When the fluid runs into the inlet of Filter and Gas Eliminator (shown in Picture 1), the foreign particles included in the fluid will be filtered and kept in the filtering net. Meanwhile, the gases included in the fluid will be separated, lifted during the impact between the flowing fluid and the filtering net, and then swerved and flow out the Filter and Gas Eliminator.
The float ball in the gas auto-eliminator is influenced by the height of gas-liquid interface. When the gases in the auto-eliminator increase, gas-liquid interface will drop and the float ball will draw the core of exhaust valve to move downward so that the Filter and Gas Eliminator can discharge the gases automatically. As the discharge of gases in the gas auto-eliminator, gas-liquid interface will move up and the float ball will be lifted and block the core of exhaust valve so that the exhaust valve will be close.
This operation is repeated to separated and discharge the gases automatically.
Operation Method
In order to clean, overhaul and install the filtering net quickly, the Filter and Gas Eliminator is designed into the Quick Discharge Type.
Up-cover is the framework to for installing the manual valve, gas auto-eliminator and hoisting screw. Up-cove is connected with the body through the hoop parts. It is very convenient to clean, repair or replace the filtering net manually through discharge the bolt and open the hoop parts.
The Filter and Gas Eliminator should be installed in the pipeline according to the direction shown in the arrow of the Picture 1. If matched with flowmeter, the Filter and Gas Eliminator should be installed before the flowmeter. It is necessary to examine if all the parts are in good condition, confirm there is no solid impurity inside of Filter and Gas Eliminator and clear up all the foreign bodies, such as broken bits of solder and rust pieces.
The Filter and Gas Eliminator is connected with the pipeline through the Flange, whose type can be custom-made according to the customers' requirements.
It is necessary to install the ducts under drainage valve and under the manual valve for exhaust. The drainage hole can be connected with the duct of steam or hot water according to the requirement of field use. Before put into service at the first or another time, the concretionary oil products should be melted by steam or hot water so that the Filter and Gas Eliminator can work normally.
First Use:
A. Open the manual valve, close the outlet valve of gas auto-eliminator and drainage valve.
B. Open the inlet valve so that the inside gases can be exhausted within enough time. As a result, the flowmeter will not be lashed and the related accuracy will be kept when put into service. Close the manual valve when there is some liquid outflow and open the outlet of the gas auto-eliminator.
Normal Operation:
A. Clean or replace the filtering net when the pressure loss≥0.8MPa(liquid viscosity≤150mPa·s).
B. Exhaust timely when the flowmeter stop work, melt the wax and oils through hot water or steam and then open the drainage valve to discharge the dirts.
It is prohibited to strike, discharge and repair the parts of Filter and Gas Eliminator when it is under pressure.
Emergency Procedure:
A. Open the manual valve timely when the pressure is over the max pressure.
B. Close the outlet valve of gas auto-eliminator when it is out of control and discharge duly the gas manually until the flow system stop work for repair.
C. It is normal condition when the pressure loss≥0.8MPa, however, cleaning the filtering net is necessary.
