The first wind power project in southwest passed pre-acceptance test for environmental protection

The Chongqing Municipal Government’s public information network released on the 27th, the first wind energy power generation project in Southwest China Chongqing Wulong Siyanping Wind Power Project recently passed the pre-acceptance test of the Chongqing Environmental Protection Bureau and was put into trial production.

The project was invested by Datang Power International Co., Ltd. in Wulong County, Chongqing, with a total investment of 580 million yuan, making it the first wind power project in Southwest China. It has an installed capacity of 46.75 MW, a stand-alone capacity of 850 KW, a total of 55 units, and an annual on-grid power generation of 92 million kw. h, achieve an annual output value of 56 million yuan for clean, renewable energy. Compared with coal-fired power stations with the same installed capacity, it can save 34,100 tons of standard coal, 65,700 tons of water, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 123,300 tons, 190.63 tons of nitrogen oxides, and 6,600 tons of ash.

It is understood that the Siyanping Wind Farm is located on the mountain of Siyanping, Xingshun Village, Wulong County, Chongqing, with an altitude of 1500 to 1700 meters. Due to special topographic conditions, the wind resources are quite abundant. As the country's first mountain wind farm, in the planning and construction process, it is difficult to accurately measure the wind resources analysis, complex geological terrain, rainy and humid alpine climate and bad transport conditions, etc. have all set the highest in the country.

It is reported that the project used the first wind turbines independently developed in Chongqing, each weighing 100 tons and 80 meters high. Three giant blades were located at the top of the generator and the blades were about 27 meters long.
